360,000 people were quarantined in Austria yesterday, according to Federal Rescue Commander Gerry Foitik, who is also a GECKO member.
We are experiencing a “mini-lockdown” (which does not feel ‘mini’ to those affected):
Today, more than 360,000 people cannot/are not allowed to leave their homes because they are too sick to do so, are infected or are contacts.
These are no longer allowed or able to leave their homes “because they are too sick to do so, are infected or are contact. Trend strongly increasing for days,” Foitik shared via Twitter.
In light of the numbers, Foitik spoke of a “mini-shutdown” that “does not feel ‘mini’ to those affected,” the federal rescue commander said.
